Realizing

Shalom, I have been on an extended sabbatical, but I'm back! Today I want to open up by talking about realizing. By definition, realizing: is to become fully aware of (something) as a fact; to understand clearly. It's a verb, which means it involves an action like being awake, cognitive, and reason. The more I listen and observe, the more I realize that people are just marly existing. Sure, they are alive; their hearts beat and lungs inhale and expand, but they are only here and unaware of their purpose and design. I recently was asked a series of questions because they were questions that will facilitate discussion at a Women's empowerment brunch. I answered the questions and, to hear another perspective, called my sister and ran a few by her to see what she could add to what I was trying to convey. My sister's views come from an organized conservative vantage point. I'm creative and outspoken. We balance each other out. After talking with her, I invited another person to answer the questions, and the answers they responded with saddened me. Sad because I realized that just like this particular person, most of humanity doesn't think past the moment. The questions involve having to participate in nostalgia or foresight, and most people are either too busy, too injured, or too lazy to think, so they exist and get by. Of course, they think about what they want to eat or drink if asked because that satisfies a basic need; its automatic to know that if I'm hungry, I eat, or sleepy, I got to sleep. They punch a clock, and others supervise them. They make money to pay bills and work 2,087 hours a year to earn a 14-day vacation while making a corporation productive and building wealth for another person's descendants. At the same time, they get by not unless they are savvy with money and investing and have created wealth in other ways. But when asked the question, "How can you improve your personal life?" Most people draw a blank. Most people haven't realized that there is so much more to life than the rat race, gossip and drama, emotional outbursts, and repeat offenses and performances. Life has more to offer than lousy company relationships that lead to more confusion and pain. Life has so much more to offer when you engage. Engage in higher thinking, connect with your creator, quit looking for others to validate your purpose for existence, and realize that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are created with intricate design, forethought, and creativity. My challenge to anyone reading my post today would be; we are all part of a big movie, where we all get to participate in writing our character's leading role. What would you have the script portray about you? Sure some scenes will involve disappointment, doubt, and adversity. But what about realizing that if you operate in faith, tenacity, and love, how beautiful will the final draft be? Start living today, and every day learning that you are Created by intelligent design, you are gorgeous, capable, and loved, and its never too late to Realize! Shalom
